Identifying Front Panel Features The following list of features corresponds to the numbers in Figure 3-1: 1 Disk slot 2 Activity indicator 3 Power indicator 4 Eject tool opening 5 Eject button A slot for inserting optical disks Remains lit while the drive is loading or unloading a disk during the powerup selftest sequence, and any time the drive is being accessed. Remains lit while the power is on An access hole for the eject tool. In an emergency, such as a power outage, the disk can be manually ejected by inserting the eject tool into this opening. Read "Manually Ejecting Disks" on the next page. Pressed to eject the disk from the drive. The disk does not eject if a SCSI Prevent/Allow Media Removal command has been issued, or if power to the drive is off. 3-3

A slot for inserting optical disks
