The slm_value is interpreted as an absolute number of gigabytes of memory. Numbers other than integers and halves are rounded up to the nearest 0.5 GB. For example, 2.5 GB will not be rounded up. However, 2.3 GB will be rounded up to 2.5 GB. For example, a blade in an nPartition has 8 GB memory and the user specifies 4 GB SLM. When the nPartition boots, 4 GB of that blade's memory will be used as SLM. Consider that the user shuts down the nPartition, and adds 8 GB memory to that blade. When the nPartition is booted again, the blade will have 16 GB of memory, but the SLM will still be 4 GB.
