The expanded policy can be changed, if a user wants to reduce or increase the amount of devices connected when launching one of the UEFI user interfaces. NOTE: If the expanded policy is changed from the default, and the partition configuration is changed (Example: replace lowest numbered I/O bay), UEFI does not automatically update the policy to take into account the configuration change. The policy is now considered to be user managed, so appropriate manual updates to the policy might be necessary.
