Power connector cable Description Power connector cable Spare part number 607755-001 Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 38). 5. Remove the service cover (see Service cover on page 40). 6. Disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board (see Hard drive on page 41). 7. Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables from the WWAN module (see WWAN module on page 43). 8. Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables from the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 46). 9. Remove the following components: a. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 54). b. Top cover (see Top cover on page 57). c. Display assembly (see Display assembly on page 64). d. System board (see System board on page 68). Remove the power connector cable: 1. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screw that secures the power connector and bracket to the base enclosure. 2. Remove the power connector bracket . NOTE: The power connector bracket is included in the base enclosure spare part kit, spare part number 607765-001. Component replacement procedures 73

Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the

3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

5.

6.
Disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board (see

).
7.
Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables from the WWAN module (see

8.
Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables from the WLAN module (see
WLAN module

).
9.
Remove the following components:
a.

).
b.
Top cover (see

c.
Display assembly (see

d.

Remove the power connector cable:
1.
Remove the Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screw that secures the power connector and bracket to the base
enclosure.
2.
Remove the power connector bracket .
NOTE:
The power connector bracket is included in the base enclosure spare part kit, spare part
number 607765-001.
