Charging multiple batteries Multiple battery in the system charge and discharge in a preset sequence: ● Charge sequence: 1. Primary battery in the computer battery bay 2. Accessory battery ● Discharge sequence: 1. Accessory battery 2. Primary battery in the computer battery bay While a battery is charging, the battery light on the computer is amber. When the battery is almost fully charged, the battery light is green. The light is turned off when all batteries are fully charged. The primary battery charges when it is inserted into the computer and the computer is plugged into external power. External power can be supplied through the following: ● AC adapter ● Optional docking device ● Optional power adapter WARNING! To reduce potential safety issues, only the AC adapter or battery provided with the computer, a replacement AC adapter or battery provided by HP, or a compatible AC adapter or battery purchased as an accessory from HP should be used with the computer.
