Holds the battery. Contains the memory module slots. Enable airflow to cool internal components. NOTE: The computer fan starts up automatically to cool internal components and prevent overheating. It is normal for the internal fan to cycle on and off during routine operation. Holds the hard drive. Releases the optical drive. Holds a wireless LAN module (select models only) or a wireless WAN module (select models only). CAUTION: WLAN modules and WWAN modules are not interchangeable.
