Display assembly NOTE: The display assembly spare part kit includes a display panel cable, webcam/microphone module and cable, and 2 wireless antenna cables and transceivers. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 43). 5. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 49). 6. Remove the following components: a. Accessory cover (see Hard drive on page 44) b. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 53) c. Top cover (see Top cover on page 56) Remove the display assembly: 1. Disconnect the display panel cable (1) from the system board. 2. Disconnect the TouchScreen cable (2) from the system board (TouchScreen computer models only). 3. Release the display panel cable and the TouchScreen cable from the routing channel (3) built into the base enclosure. 4. Release the wireless antenna cables (4) from the opening in the base enclosure. Component replacement procedures 65
