• It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that electrical works comply with the local electrical code and the relevant laws and regulations. The customer should provide qualified and registered electricians to perform operations as required by these laws and regulations. • In general, HP service personnel are authorized to perform maintenance operations in all printer's parts and subassemblies, but not for the site electrical infrastructure and printer's connections to this structure. Safe isolation of the printer from power prior to service operations shall be done according to local regulations, and is under the customer's responsibility. • When servicing any electrical components, especially the vacuum pump cabinet or loader cabinet, turn off the main power switch and padlock it (see Figure 1-2 on page 5). Danger Only a certified electrician is authorized to carry out any electrical work. Fuses blown within 36 hours of being replaced may indicate malfunctioning electrical circuits within the system. Have qualified service personnel check the system, and do not attempt to replace the fuse again! Danger An electrical hazard may exist if any light, monitor, or visual indicator stays ON. To prevent possible injury, immediately turn OFF the switch in the mains power supply box on the wall. Fire Hazards UV-based inks used with the HP Scitex FB7600 have flammable and irritant properties. Their combustion products include oxides of carbon. Danger Extreme care must be taken when handling inks and solvent to prevent the risk of fire.
