Version 3.2.1c Description HP StorageWorks Fabric OS 3.2.1c is a patch release containing fixes to a number of defects found since the release of Fabric OS 3.2.1b. Aside from these changes, this patch release includes the same feature set as Fabric OS 3.2.1. Fabric OS 3.2.1 contains significant enhancements to Fibre Channel long-distance support, scalability, and manageability. Several improvements since the release of HP StorageWorks Fabric OS 3.1.3 have been incorporated into this release. Major new features include: • Additional support that allows a switch running Fabric OS 3.2.x to recognize a Multiprotocol (MP) Router connected to the fabric. • Updated security enhancements: • RADIUS • DH-CHAP authentication • Fabric Watch and Advanced Web Tools usability enhancements. HP StorageWorks software release policy is to carry forward all fixes in patches to subsequent maintenance and feature releases of Fabric OS. Update recommendation HP strongly recommends that users upgrade to Fabric OS 3.2.1c as soon as possible. Supersedes history Fabric OS 3.2.1b released in August 2006. Effective date June 2007 Supported product models Fabric OS 3.2.1c firmware is supported on the following switches only: • HP StorageWorks MSA SAN Switch 2/8 (SilkWorm 3000) • HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/16 (SilkWorm 3800) • HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/8-EL (SilkWorm 3200) • HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/16-EL (SilkWorm 3600) Fabric OS 3.2.1b fixes The following defects have been closed since the release of Fabric OS 3.2.1: • Third-party tape drives did not respond to Login (L) bit, based on switch lock L port configuration. • After executing switchDisable or switchEnable in a large secure fabric, some SAN Switch 2/16 models experienced queue overflow and rebooted. • During in-house testing on large fabrics, all switches in a 30-switch fabric became isolated.
