Installing Main Memory Modules
Installing Main Memory Modules
Each memory bank that you use must contain a pair of identical memory
modules, installed in the pair of sockets for that bank.
The three memory banks (A, B, C) may be filled in any order, but it is ad-
visable, for performance reasons, to fill them in the order A then B then C.
Memory can be upgraded in increments of 8 MB, 16 MB, 32 MB or 64 MB
(by installing pairs of 4 MB, 8 MB, 16 MB or 32 MB modules).
HP does not support PCs in which the user has installed non-HP
memory modules.

Models are supplied with 16 MB or 32 MB
of main memory using a pair of 8 MB or
16 MB, 60 ns, EDO memory modules.
The main memory capacity can be extended
to 144 MB or 160 MB by installing a further
two pairs of 32 MB memory modules.
This can be further extended to 192 MB by
removing the original pair of modules, and
replacing them with a pair of 32 MB
modules.
