If you have installed a Matrox video adapter board, SETUP cannot be used to configure it. Refer to Configuring the Matrox Video Adapter Board, later in this chapter. Displaying the BIOS Version and PC Serial Number SETUP shows the current BIOS Version and the PC Serial Number. If you intend to upgrade the BIOS using the "HPROMInit" utility, the upgrade diskette must contain a later BIOS version than the current version on the PC. (Refer to If the PC does not Work: Error Messages, in "Troubleshooting and Error Messages".) What to do Next When you have made all your changes, you must save them and exit SETUP. 1. Press [F3] to save the changes. 2. Follow the instructions on the screen to exit SETUP. Your PC automatically restarts. If you have set a User Password, the User Password prompt is displayed. Type your User Password and press [ENTER]. NOTE After making any changes in SETUP, run the ISA Configuration Utility in the Plug and Play group, in Windows. This updates Plug and Play information on system resources. The PC is now ready to use. • To run application software on the PC, refer to the manuals supplied with your application software. • If you have problems with the PC, refer to "Troubleshooting and Error Messages" for details. • If your PC has a Matrox video adapter board, refer to the section Configuring the Matrox Video Adapter Board, later in this chapter.
