Facing the front of the workstation, align the top and bottom hinge hooks on the left edge of the front panel with their respective holes in the chassis. Holding the power supply handle, remove the bail from the bail lock. b. Drive 1. Grasp the floppy disk drive/tray assembly and slide it into the floppydisk drive bay of the chassis. 2. Facing the opened side of the workstation, reach into the back of the floppy disk drive bay and connect the two cables (shown on the previous page): the floppy disk drive power - HP Visualize b1000 | hp Visualize b1000, c3000, c3600 workstations parts replace - Page 33
drive, while pulling down and out with your index finger on the top end of the release lever. As you pull outward on the release lever, the disk into its tray before you can slide the disk drive and tray assembly into the workstation. 1. Unpack the new disk drive. holes in the disk drive, and tighten them with a T15 Torx driver. There are four rubber grommets, although only two are visible in the drive slot. Replacing the Hard Disk Drives 1. Facing the front of the workstation, insert the hard disk drive trays halfway into its appropriate slot. the mounting clips to hold the speaker on the mounting bracket. Replacing the Fan and Speaker Bracket 1. Position the fan and speaker bracket into the workstation. 2. the system board to ensure that all cables are disconnected. NOTE The DIMMs are shown for orientation purposes. Removing the old System Board 1. Ensure all workstation cables are out of the way to avoid interference or damage when you remove the system board tray. Grasp the system-board tray handle and slide the system board tray toward the front of the workstation to unseat the keyhole standoffs on the floor of the chassis, underneath the board. board tray's keyholes with the standoffs on the side wall of the chassis, and then slide the system board tray toward the back of the workstation to seat the standoffs into their corresponding keyholes. 2.
