Localization/Keyboard FAQs Q: Are country locale keyboards supported in the image? A: Yes, there are numerous country locale keyboards supported. The default setting is International Euro keyboard. The User Interface is English only, regardless of locale keyboard. Q: Are there country locale keyboard limitations? A: Yes. The t5515 supports a large number of keyboard mapping languages. The System Administrator can configure the t5515 to use a specific language by either using the Keyboard Preference Applet (GO>Settings>Keyboard), or the command 'loadkeys'. In both cases the programs are using key tables which are keyboard table descriptions files for the selected languages. Other keyboard commands such as dumpkeys and showkeys are not supported. LIMITATIONS BY COUNTRY LOCALE: • Japanese language keytable does not produce Japanese characters in an Xterm console. • Greek language keytable requires the usage of the Alt Gr to produce any characters in a Xterm con- sole. The Rdesktop program does not have Greek language support available. The Citrix ICA program Greek language supports fails to produce any alphabet characters either in upper or lower case. • French language keytable for the symbols ~ and ' does not produce French accent characters in an Xterm console. • Czechoslovak language keytable support in the Rdesktop program is not available. The Citrix ICA program support fails to produce a ' character when the left shift key is pressed. • Hebrew language keytable requires the usage of the Alt Gr to produce any characters in a Xterm con- sole. There is no support for either the Rdesktop or Citrix ICA program available. • Hungarian language keytable for the symbols ^ and ` does not produce accent characters in an Xterm console. The Rdesktop and Citrix ICA programs supports fails to produce characters for numerous key combinations involving the Alt Gr and other keys. • Russian language keytable requires the usage of the "Alt Gr" to produce any characters in a Xterm console. The Rdesktop and Citrix ICA programs supports fails to produce characters for numerous key combinations involving the Alt Gr and other keys. • Arabic language keytable does not produce Arabic characters in an Xterm console. There is no sup- port available in the Citrix ICA program for Arabic. The Rdesktop program supports fails to produce characters for numerous key combinations involving the Alt Gr and other keys. • Spanish language keytable, Rdesktop program supports fails to produce characters for numerous key combinations involving the Alt Gr and other keys. • Brazilian language keytable support for the Xterm, Rdesktop, and Citrix ICA programs fails to pro- duce characters for numerous key combinations involving the Alt Gr and other keys. • Belgian-French language support for the Rdesktop and Citrix ICA programs fails to produce charac- ters for numerous key combinations involving the Alt Gr and other keys. 11
