No Read With No Read turned On, the image scanner sends an "NR" to the host if you pull and release the trigger without reading a code (e.g., bad bar code). If No Read is turned Off, the "NR" will not be sent to the host. No Read On * No Read Off If you want a different notation than "NR," for example, "Error," or "Bad Code," you can edit the output message using the Data Formatter (page 5-4). The hex code for the No Read symbol is 9C. Video Reverse Video Reverse is used to allow the image scanner to read bar codes that are inverted. The "Off" bar code below is an example of this type of bar code.
