Clean or replace air filter (page 21). Clean spark arrestor screen (page 24). Add fuel (page 21). Add engine oil (page 18). Check all circuit breakers for "tripped' position. If the master circuit breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the Twist-Lock (NEMA L14-30R) outlet. If a duplex outlet breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the duplex (NEMA 5-20R) outlet above the breaker, wait several minutes for the breaker to cool, and then push to reset. No power at AC receptacle Poor connection or defective cord. Connected electrical appliance/ equipment is defective. TABLE 6. Add fuel (page 21).
Stale fuel.
Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel (page 26).
No or low engine oil.
Add engine oil (page 18).
Spark plug wire (cap) disconnected.
Install spark plug cap over spark plug.
Faulty/bad spark plug.
Check/replace spark plug (page 23).
Fuel not reaching carburetor.
Clean fuel sediment cup (page 23).
Dirty air filter.
Clean or replace air filter (page 21).
Dirty spark arrestor screen.
Clean spark arrestor screen (page 24).
Engine suddenly stops
No fuel.
Add fuel (page 21).
No or low engine oil.
Add engine oil (page 18).
No power at AC
receptacle
Electrical overload on generator.
Check all circuit breakers for “tripped’ position. If the
master circuit breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the
Twist-Lock (NEMA L14-30R) outlet. If a duplex outlet
breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the duplex (NEMA
5-20R) outlet above the breaker, wait several minutes for
the breaker to cool, and then push to reset.
Poor connection or defective cord.
Check cord connection. Replace defective cord.
Connected electrical appliance/
equipment is defective.
Check electrical appliance/equipment for defects. Dis-
connect defective appliance/equipment from the genera-
tor. Have appliance serviced by qualified repair facility.
