RECALIBRATING THE THERMOSTAT Your thermostat should normally display the correct room TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT SCREW temperature. Intherare event ofaninmrred display, thethermo- stat can berecalibrated as follows: u Make sure the thermostat has been on for at least 2 hours. u Place an accurate room thermometer near the left side of the thermostat. Be careful not to touch thermometer or breathe on it. u Open the left door of the thermostat. •l Locate the temperature adjustment screw. u Use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the screw slightly clock- wise to increase, or counterclockwise ~ to decrease the indica~ ted emperature. u After each turn, allow the thermostat to stabilize about 30 seconds. u Continue this procedure until the thermostat has the same temperature reading as the room thermometer. 29 69-8026-2 THE "WAITING" INDICATOR DURING AIR CONDITIONING To prevent possible damage to your compressor, and to maximize the efficiency of your air conditioning system, no controls can be activated for approximately 6 minutes after the compressor shuts off. If you try to override the temperature during this time, the display will show WAITING until the 6 minutes pass. 30 YOUR PERSONAL PROGRAM Use the table below to plan your schedule before you begin programming. If you are programming a different schedule for each day of the week, fill out-a different table for each day.
