- CPU Options Select this choice to specify whether the serial number in the microprocessor is to be readable. You can also disable the microprocessor cache or set it to use the write-back or write-through method. Write-back caching generally provides better system performance. - PCI Bus Control Select this choice to view and set interrupts for PCI devices and to configure the master latency timer value for the server. - Integrated System Management Processor Settings Select this choice to enable or disable the Reboot on System NMI option on the menu. If you enable this option, the server will automatically restart 60 seconds after the service processor issues a nonmaskable interrupt (NMI) to the server. If you disable this option, the server will not restart. Enable is the default setting. v Error Logs Select this choice to view or clear error logs. - POST Error Log Select this choice to view the three most recent error codes and messages that were generated during POST. Select Clear error logs to clear the POST error log. - System Event/Error Log Select this choice to view the System Event/Error log, which contains all system error and warning messages that have been generated. Use the arrow keys to move between pages in the log. Select Clear error logs to clear the System Event/Error log. v Save Settings Select this choice to save the changes you have made in the settings (except PCI Bus Control changes). v Restore Settings Select this choice to cancel the changes you have made in the settings (except PCI Bus Control changes) and restore the previous settings. v Load Default Settings Select this choice to cancel the changes you have made in the settings (except PCI Bus Control changes) and restore the factory settings. v Exit Setup Select this choice to exit from the Configuration/Setup Utility program. If you have not saved the changes you have made in the settings, you are asked whether you want to save the changes or exit without saving them. Additional Configuration/Setup Utility menu choices When you install an IBM Remote Supervisor Adapter in your server, you can view or set additional information in the Configuration/Setup Utility program, such as: v System Summary Select this choice to view additional information about your server. v PCI Bus Control Select this choice to view or set additional properties of the adapters installed in PCI slots. v Administrator Password Select this choice to set or change the administrator password. 12 IBM xSeries 345 Type 8670: User's Guide
