DVD operation Playing a DVD or Video CD OPEN/CLOSE POWER STOP PLAY PAUSE/STEP REPEAT SKIP SCAN SCAN SKIP ENTER Basic Playback DVD-V VCD DivX 1 Press the POWER button to turn the unit on. 2 Press OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray and load your chosen disc in the tray, with the playback side down. 3 Press OPEN/CLOSE button to close the tray. Playback starts automatically. If playback does not start, press G PLAY button. Stop Playback DVD-V VCD DivX 1 Press the A STOP button to stop playback. At this time the DVD video player stops playback temporarily and maintains the current playback position. If you G PLAY button is pressed, playback will resume from the location where you stopped playback. 2 Press the A STOP button again to stop playback fully. At this time if you press G PLAY button, the disc playback starts from the beginning. Pause Playback (Still mode) DVD-V VCD DivX 1 Press II PAUSE/STEP button during playback. 2 Press the G PLAY button again to return to normal playback. Still Picture and Frame-by-Frame Playback DVD-V VCD DivX 1 Press II PAUSE/STEP button on the remote control during playback. Advance the picture frame-by-frame by pressing II PAUSE/STEP button repeatedly. 2 To exit still motion mode, press G PLAY button. Fast Forward/Backward DVD-V VCD DivX 1 Press FF SCAN or GG SCAN button during playback. 2 Press FF SCAN or GG SCAN button repeatedly to select the required speed. • DVD, DivX disc: X2, X4, X16 or X100 • Video CD: X2, X4 or X8 3 Press the G PLAY button again to return to normal playback. 50
