Chapter 3. The charms Charms are navigation buttons that let you control your Windows 8.1 experience. Charms include: Search, Share, Start, Devices, and Settings. The charms bar is the menu that contains the charms. You can search within the current app (like finding a specific message in Mail), search another app, search your entire computer (for an app, setting, or file), or search an item via Internet by Bing. Chapter 3. The charms Shutting down the computer If you are not going to use your computer for a long time, shut it down.
