You can set the following passwords on your computer: The Power-on password protects your computer from being used by unauthorized persons. The Hard Disk password protects the data on your primary hard disk from being accessed by unauthorized persons. You can also set a password for your secondary hard disk. The Supervisor password protects the system information stored in Easy-Setup and also makes your computer tamper-resistant. Setting a Password A password protects your computer from being used by unauthorized persons. Once you set a password, a prompt appears on the screen each time you turn on the computer. You must enter your password at the prompt. You will not be able to use the computer unless you type the correct password. To set a password, do the following: 1 Start Easy-Setup (refer to "Using Easy-Setup" on page 2-54). 2 Click on Password in the "Easy-Setup" menu. The first "Password" submenu appears: 2-16

This section describes how to use the following security features:

Using Passwords
The password setting feature prevents your computer from being
used by others.
You can set the following passwords on your
computer:
The
Power-on password
protects your computer from being
used by unauthorized persons.
The
Hard Disk password
protects the data on your primary hard
disk from being accessed by unauthorized persons.
You can
also set a password for your secondary hard disk.
The
Supervisor password
protects the system information
stored in Easy-Setup and also makes your computer
tamper-resistant.
Setting a Password
A password protects your computer from being used by unauthorized
persons.
Once you set a password, a prompt appears on the screen
each time you turn on the computer.
You must enter your password
at the prompt.
You will not be able to use the computer unless you

To set a password, do the following:
