Using the Features Menu HOW TO USE THE TIMER MENU CONTROLS Your television comes with an onscreen clock. The TV can also be set to turn on or off at a specific time and tune to a specific channel when it powers itself on. 1 Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the onscreen menu. 2 Press the CURSOR DOWNwbutton until Features is highlighted. 3 Press the CURSOR RIGHTubutton to display the Features menu. 4 Press the CURSOR RIGHTubutton to display the Timer menu. 5 Press the CURSOR UP v or DOWNw buttons to highlight one of the Timer controls. These controls are Time, Start Time, Stop Time, Channel, Activate, and Display. 6 Press the CURSOR RIGHTubutton to dis play the menu for the selected item. Make adjustments to the selected items by following the steps below. Time: Enter the current time using the Numbered buttons. Use the CURSOR RIGHT uor CURSOR LEFTxbuttons to toggle the AM and PM setting. Start Time: Use the numbered buttons to enter the time you want the TV to turn itself On. Use the CURSOR RIGHTuor CURSOR LEFT xbuttons to toggle the AM and PM setting. Stop Time: Use the numbered buttons to enter the time you want the TV to turn itself Off. Use the CURSOR RIGHTuor CURSOR LEFTxbuttons to toggle the AM and PM setting. Channel: Use the NUMBERED buttons or the CH + or CH- buttons to enter the desired startup channel. Activate: Set the timer to turn itself On or Off Once or Daily. Press the CURSOR RIGHTu or CURSOR LEFTxbuttons to select Once, Daily, or No. Display: Press the CURSOR RIGHTuor CURSOR LEFTxbuttons to toggle between On or Off. If On is selected, the time will be displayed all the time when the TV is on. When Off is selected, the time will only appear when the EXIT/INFO button is pressed. 7 Press the EXIT/INFO button to remove the onscreen menu from the TV screen. HELPFUL HINTS Remember, be sure to press "0" and then the hour number for single digit entries. The TV's clock settings may be lost when the TV is unplugged or when AC power to the set is interrupted. 20
