Setting Up Naming a Handset or Base Unit When you register a handset to the base, it is assigned a default name of Handset(x), where x can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. You can change the name to something more useful, for example a location (Kitchen) or someone's name (Ian). Naming a handset makes it easy to select the handset from a list (for example, to intercom another handset). You can change the name of the base unit by using the same steps for naming a handset. LLED 1 Press MENU. 2 Scroll to Name handset or Name base. NTRO 3 Press SELECT. UNCO ENT 4 Enter the name you want to use (up to 12 characters). The flashing square shows the input cursor position. Select DELETE to erase characters DOCUM to the left of the input cursor. 16
