Sending and Receiving Calls Do This Press M and then scroll to and select one of the following: • Insert Pause (to insert a p) • Insert Wait (to insert a w) • Insert 'n' (to insert an n) To insert a special character when making a call that requires you to dial and send additional digits (for example, to make a calling card call, or to retrieve messages from an answering machine): • Pause tells your phone to wait until the call connects before it automatically sends the next digit(s) in a series. • Wait tells your phone to wait until the call connects, and then to prompt you for confirmation before it sends the next digit(s). • 'n' tells your phone to prompt you for a number before dialing the call. The number you enter is inserted into the dialing sequence in place of the n character. 49
