Phonebook Recording a Voice Name For a Phonebook Entry You can record a voice name when you create a new phonebook entry, or when you edit a previously stored phonebook entry. This lets you use voice dial to call the number without dialing (see "Voice Dial Using a Soft Key" on page 100). Note: You cannot record a voice name for an entry stored on a SIM card. Tip: Make your voice recording in a quiet location. Hold the phone about four inches (10 centimeters) from your mouth, and speak directly into the phone's microphone in a normal tone of voice. Find the Feature M > Phonebook Do This 1 Press K 2 Press VIEW (J) 3 Press EDIT (J) 4 Press K 5 Press RECORD (J) To scroll to the entry that needs a voice name display the entry's detailed view edit the phonebook entry scroll to Voice Name begin the recording process The phone displays Press RECORD Key then say name. 98
