Router Status Fields Field Firmware Version LAN Port MAC Address IP Address IP Subnet Mask Modem ADSL Firmware Version Modem Status Connect Mode Down Stream Up Stream VPI VCI Description This field displays the modem firmware version. These IP parameters apply to the Local Area Network (LAN) of the modem. This field displays the Ethernet MAC address being used by the LAN port of the modem. This field displays the IP address being used by the ADSL (WAN) port of the modem. If no address is shown, the modem cannot connect to the Internet. This field displays the IP Subnet Mask being used by the ADSL(WAN) port of the modem. These parameters apply to the ADSL modem section of the modem. This field displays the ADSL chipset firmware version. This field displays the state of the ADSL connection to your service provider, either "Connecting" or "Connected" This field displays the protocol used to connect to your service provider. When the ADSL link comes up, the connection will be either "Fast" or "Interleaved", depending on the way the telephone company has configured its equipment This field displays the connection rate from the service provider to the modem in bits per second This field displays the connection rate from the modem to the service provider in bits per second This field displays the VPI entered in the Setup Wizard or Basic Settings screen This field displays the VCI entered in the Setup Wizard or Basic Settings screen 5-2 Advanced Configuration of the Modem
