Metering m The camera's built-in light metering system calculates the brightness of the subject to determine the best exposure to use. m Matrix (default setting) Analyzes the distribution of brightness over a wide area of the frame, producing optimal results for most situations. Meters the entire frame but assigns the greatest weight to the n Center-weighted center area. Suitable for portraits. Use with AF lock (P.87) to meter off-center subjects. o Spot Measures light in an area shown by a square in the center of the monitor.
