❚❚ No Photograph The camera will skip the current interval if any of the following situations persist for eight seconds or more after the interval was due to start: the photograph for the previous interval has yet to be taken, the memory card is full, or the camera is unable to focus (AF-S, AF-A with single-servo AF selected, or AF-C with Focus selected for Custom Setting a1 AF-C priority selection; note that the camera focuses again before each shot). Shooting will resume with the next interval. D Out of Memory If the memory card is full, the interval timer will remain active but no pictures will be taken. Resume shooting (0 113) after deleting some pictures or turning the camera off and inserting another memory card. A Cover the Viewfinder To prevent light entering via the viewfinder from appearing in the photograph or interfering with exposure, we recommend that you cover the viewfinder with your hand or other objects such as an optional eyepiece cap (0 322) before taking pictures without your eye to the viewfinder (0 80). A Other Settings Settings can not be adjusted during interval timer photography. Regardless of the release mode selected, the camera takes one photograph at each interval; in mode J, camera noise will be reduced. Bracketing (0 151) and high dynamic range (HDR; 0 138) can not be used. A Interrupting Interval Timer Photography To interrupt interval timer shooting, turn the camera off or rotate the mode dial to a new setting. Returning the monitor to the storage position does not interrupt interval timer shooting. 114 More on Photography
