After selecting [Wide-area AF (C1)] or [Widearea AF (C2)] for [AF-area mode] in the video recording menu, you can choose the dimensions of the focus areas used for the selected AF-area mode during video recording. The items in the video recording menu offer a choice of 12 options ranging from [1×1] to [13×7].
