Phone settings To access this menu: Press Menu in standby mode, and select Settings and Phone settings. Select • Phone language to select the language for the display texts. If you select Automatic, the phone selects the language according to the information on the SIM card. • Memory status to view the total amount of free and used shared memory and the amount of memory used by different functions. • Automatic keyguard to set the keypad to lock automatically after a certain length of time when the phone is in standby mode. See also Keypad lock (Keyguard) on page 26. To activate the automatic keyguard, select On and set the time after which the keypad is locked. To deactivate the automatic keyguard, select Off. When the keyguard is on, calls may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. • Cell info display to set the phone to indicate when it is used in a cellular network based on the Micro Cellular Network (MCN) technology (network service). • Welcome note to define a note that is shown briefly when the phone is switched on. To save the note, press Options and select Save. • Operator selection to set the phone to automatically select a cellular network that is available in your area (Automatic) or to select the desired network from a list (Manual).
