HOW TO USE A PRESET PROGRAM 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 15. 2. Select a preset program. To select a preset program, press the Aerobic Fitness button, the Performance button, or the Weight Loss button repeatedly. When a preset program is selected, the screen will show the maximum speed setting and the maximum incline setting of the program, and the workout time. In addition, a diagram of the workout intensity settings of the program will be displayed. The arrow below the diagram will indicate your progress during your workout. Note: When a weight loss program is selected, the screen will also show the calorie goal for the program. IMPORTANT: The calorie goal is an estimate of the number of calories that you will burn during the program. The actual number of calories that you burn will depend on your weight. In addition, if you manually change the speed or incline of treadmill during the program, the number of calories you burn will be affected. same speed and/or incline setting may be programmed for two or more consecutive segments. When only three seconds remain in the first segment of the program, a series of tones will sound. If the speed and/or the incline of the treadmill is about to change, the new speed setting and/or incline setting will appear on the screen to alert you. When the first segment ends, the arrow below the program diagram will move one position to the right. Note: The program diagram can be displayed only when the television is in Console mode. To select the Console mode, press the TV button repeatedly until the word CONSOLE appears on the screen. When the first segment ends, the treadmill will automatically adjust to the speed and incline settings for the second segment. The program will continue in this way until the arrow reaches the right end of the program diagram. The walking belt will then slow to a stop. If the speed and/or incline settings of the program are too high or too low, you can override the setting by pressing the Speed or Incline buttons; however, when the next segment begins, the treadmill will automatically adjust to the speed and incline settings for the next segment. To stop the program at any time, press the Stop button. To restart the program, press the Start button. The walking belt will begin to move at 1 mph. When the next segment of the program begins, the treadmill will automatically adjust to the speed and incline settings for the next segment. 3. Enter your weight. For the most accurate calorie count, enter your weight by pressing the Rate/Wt. increase and decrease buttons repeatedly. Note: Once you have entered your weight, it will be saved in memory. 5. HOW TO USE A PRESET PROGRAM

Insert the key into the console.

Select a preset program.
To select a preset program, press the Aerobic
Fitness button, the Performance button, or the
Weight Loss button repeatedly.
When a pre-
set program is
selected, the
screen will
show the
maximum
speed setting and the maximum incline setting of
the program, and the workout time. In addition, a
diagram of the workout intensity settings of the pro-
gram will be displayed. The arrow below the dia-
gram will indicate your progress during your work-
out.
Note: When a weight loss program is selected, the
screen will also show the calorie goal for the pro-
gram.
IMPORTANT: The calorie goal is an esti-
mate of the number of calories that you will
burn during the program. The actual number of
calories that you burn will depend on your
weight. In addition, if you manually change the
speed or incline of treadmill during the pro-
gram, the number of calories you burn will be
affected.

Enter your weight.
For the most accurate calorie count, enter your
weight by pressing the Rate/Wt. increase and de-
crease buttons repeatedly. Note: Once you have
entered your weight, it will be saved in memory.

Press the Start button to start the program.
A moment after the button is pressed, the treadmill
will automatically adjust to the first speed and in-
cline settings of the program. Hold the handrails
and begin walking.
Each program is divided into several one-minute
segments. One speed setting and one incline set-
ting are programmed for each segment. Note: The
same speed and/or incline setting may be pro-
grammed for two or more consecutive segments.
When only three seconds remain in the first seg-

the speed and/or the incline of the treadmill is
about to change, the new speed setting and/or in-
cline setting will appear on the screen to alert you.

tomatically adjust to the speed and incline settings
for the second segment.
The program will continue in this way until the
arrow reaches the right end of the program dia-
gram. The walking belt will then slow to a stop.
If the speed and/or incline settings of the program
are too high or too low, you can override the set-
ting by pressing the Speed or Incline buttons; how-
ever, when the next segment begins,
the treadmill
will automatically adjust to the speed and in-
cline settings for the next segment.
To stop the program at any time, press the Stop
button. To restart the program, press the Start but-
ton. The walking belt will begin to move at 1 mph.
When the next segment of the program begins, the
treadmill will automatically adjust to the speed and
incline settings for the next segment.
5.
Select a display mode and follow your progress
with the exercise information on the screen.

6.
Measure your heart rate if desired.

7.
Turn on the fan if desired.

8.
When you are finished exercising, remove the
key from the console.
