W Selecting a display language You can select a language for on-screen display. Available languages vary depending on the area where you purchased this camera. You can add other languages to your camera with the provided OLYMPUS Master software. Kq Using Shooting button / Playback button to turn on the camera YES • Pressing the K/h/s button turns on the camera and starts the 2 camera in the shooting mode. • Pressing the q button turns on the camera and starts the camera in the playback mode. NO The power is not turned on. To turn on the camera, press the o button. Menu operations PW ON SETUP Setting the startup screen and volume SCREEN OFF (No picture is displayed.) / 1 / 2 (The picture registered with [SCREEN SETUP] is displayed.) VOLUME OFF (No sound) / LOW / HIGH You can select the volume level and the picture displayed when the camera is turned on. If [SCREEN] is set to [OFF], [VOLUME] cannot be set. • Even if [SCN] is set to [MUSEUM], the camera emits beep by turning off and then on the camera when [LOW] or [HIGH] is selected for [VOLUME] of [PW ON SETUP]. If you do not want to emit beep, set [VOLUME] to [OFF] in advance. If a picture is already registered, the [IMAGE EXISTING] screen is displayed asking if you want to cancel the currently registered picture and register a new one.
