This is only available when the THX listening mode is selected. THX Loudness Plus THX Loudness Plus is a new volume control technology mounted on THX Ultra and THX Selectcertified receivers. With THX Loudness Plus, home theater audience can experience the rich details of surround sound at any volume level. If the volume is turned down below the reference level, elements of sound in a certain range are lost or the sound is perceived differently by the listener. THX Loudness Plus compensates for the tonal and spatial shifts that occur when the volume level is reduced, by intelligently adjusting the levels of the surround channels and their frequency response in the environment. This enables users to experience the true impact of soundtracks regardless of the volume setting. THX Loudness Plus is automatically applied when listening in any THX listening mode. In the newly developed THX Cinema, THX Music and THX Games modes, the optimum THX Loudness Plus setting is applied according to the type of content. 8.
