Sounds and effects Part I Sounds and effects About foot marks The foot indication (for example 8') refers to the pitch of a rank of pipes in a pipe organ. If 8' is used as the standard (the pitch as played on the keyboard), a 16' rank pitch will be one octave below the 8' rank pitch, and a 4' rank pitch one octave above. In the CONDUCTOR or PART SELECT sec- tion, select the part. 2. Press the ORGAN TABS button to turn it on. DIGITAL DRAWBAR ORGAN TABS Change the sound type and make each type setting You can select from three sound types. Use the TYPE ∧ and ∨ buttons to select the sound type (USA Tabs/European Tabs/Theatre Pipes). • The display looks similar to the following. 3. Use the balance buttons below the display to turn on or off each tab. • Note that the ORGAN TABS can not be selected for the ACCOMP and BASS parts of the COMPOSER or PERFORMANCE PADS. PERCUSSIVE TONE PERCUSSIVE TONE adds a tone with a fast initial attack to the ORGAN TABS sounds. You can select two pitch levels of attack tones. Use the PERCUSSIVE TONE 2 2/3' and 4' buttons to turn the respective tone on or off. • The buttons are red when they are on. 37 QQTG0671
