DAYLIGHT - SYNCHRO SHOOTING Depress the mode button until the [ ] symbol ap- I - pears on the LCD panel. The flash • will discharge in both dark and bright conditions. When a por- trait is taken with the subject in a backlight situation, the front of the subject may be cast in shadow. In such a case, use the Daylight- Synchro Shooting mode (Flash-ON mode) within the flash-effective range to take pic- tures. This will ensure that a picture is well ex- posed without any shadow. When you wish to discharge the flash, use this mode. In this mode, the flash will always discharge. Note: • Make sure you're within the flash effective range even when you use the built- in flash as a fill-in flash in daylight. See page 13. Without Daylight-Sync With Daylight-Sync 19

When
a

the

a

mode.
