3-6 Corded overlock Corded overlock can be used to strengthen stitches when joining elastic fabrics such as knits. There are two ways to sew corded overlock. 1. Thread cord through the hole on the front of the foot. Place a slightly wide cord or tape (about 3 mm) under the right needle and 1 start to sew catching cord or tape in stitching. 2. To sew a narrow cord, positioning it on the edge of the fabric encased in the overlock stitch. Taping a seam can prevent knit fabrics from stretching and also stabilize the seams. 2 24

Corded overlock can be used to strengthen
