1-3 Connecting the foot control and the electrical connection Connect the foot control and the electrical connection. Before plugging your machine, be sure that the voltage is same as that of your machine. (indicated on the plate on the back of the machine). Note: Specifications vary from country to country. Turn on the power and light switch. Always turn off the switch and unplug the machine when not in use; changing needles, presser foot, or needle plate; or servicing/ cleaning the machine. • Use foot control type YC-482T for USA/ Canada and YC-190 for other countries with overlock machine Model 4764. The harder you press the foot control, the faster the machine runs. When the power switch is turned off, the machine will not operate even with pressure on the foot control. • Electronic foot control (for USA/Canada only) This foot control gives full penetration power even at slow speed for all sewing needs. For the USA and Canada This sewing machine has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not modify the plug in any way. 6
