- Sew the second half of the zipper parallel at the same distance. Stop shortly before the end of the seam and leave the needle in the material. Raise the sewing foot and open the zipper. You can now sew to the end of the seam. - Trouser zippers - Iron the seam margin over, making sure there is an overlap of about 15/32) 4 mm. - Baste the zipper under the overlapping edge so that the teeth are still visible. - Engage the zipper foot on the right and set the needle at the required position. Stitch close along the edge of the zipper. - Shortly before the end of the seam, open the zipper and finish sewing the seam. - Close the zipper and baste the overlap evenly onto the other zipper half. - Afterwards stitch along the basted seam. TIP: To achieve accurate seams we recom mend using the edge guide. 55
