Initial Settings menu 07 Options settings Setting Parental Lock DVD Playback Mode SACD Playback Option - DVD-Audio DVD-Video 2ch Area Multi-ch Area CD Area DTS Downmix STEREO Lt/Rt DivX VOD Display What it means See Parental Lock on page 43. All material on a DVD-Audio disc is playable. Only the DVD-Video part of a DVD-Audio disc is playable. Selects the 2 channel (strereo) SACD audio area of the disc for playback. Selects the multi-channel SACD audio area of the disc for playback. Selects the standard CD audio area of an SACD/CD hybrid disc for playback. Downmixes DTS for 2 channel output to regular stereo. (See also DTS Downmix on page 44.) Downmixes DTS for 2 channel output to be compatible with Dolby Surround matrix decoders. (See also DTS Downmix on page 44.) See About DivX® VOD content on page 45. Parental Lock • Default level: Off; Default password: none; Default Country/Area code: us (2119) To give you some control over what your children watch on your DVD player, some DVDVideo discs feature a Parental Lock level. If your player is set to a lower level than the disc, the disc won't play. Some discs also support the Country/Area Code feature. The player does not play certain scenes on these discs, depending on the Country/Area Code you set. Registering a new password You must register a password before you can change the Parental Lock level or enter a Country code. 1 Select 'Options', then 'Password'. The numbers you enter show up as asterisks (*) on-screen. 3 Press ENTER to register the password. You will return to the Options menu screen. 43 En
