Focus Area [SELF PORTRAIT] : When taking pictures of yourself, the area of your face is automatically detected so that you can take self portraits more easily and quickly. Selectable modes : AUTO, PROGRAM, MANUAL, DUAL IS, PORTRAIT, SCENE (CHILDREN, BEACH&SNOW, SELF SHOT, CAFÉ) 1. Selecting the Self Portrait menu displays the Self Portrait icon ( ). MULTI AF CENTER AF SELF PORTRAIT FACE DETECTION 2. For self-filming, set the camera lens towards the face of the object. It automatically detects the face of the object, and emits a guiding sound. 3. Start filming by pressing the shutter button. ● When locating the face in the center of the screen, it repeatedly emits a faster sound unlike the sounds that are emitted when the face is not in the center. ● T he guiding sound can be set using the [SELF PORTRAIT] menu. (See p.69) ● It can only be set if is selected on the photo style selector dial. ● The [EFFECT] menu does not work when the [SELF PORTRAIT] function is set. [CENTER AF] : The rectangular area in the center of the LCD monitor will be focused. [MULTI AF] : This camera selects all of available AF point from the 9 AF points. [CENTER AF] [MULTI AF] A When the camera focuses on the subject, the auto focus frame turns to green. When the camera doesn't focus on the subject, the auto focus frame turns to red. >
