Searching for a Specific Sequence GB VCR POWER EJ INDEX REC.SPEED CLK/COUNT PICTURE T Each time you record a cassette on this VCR, an "index" is automatically marked on the tape when recording starts. The Search function enables you to fast-forward or rewind to a specific index and start playback from that point. Depending on the direction selected, the indexes are numbered as follows. © 1 12 STROBE A 3 INDEX: -- Prev Seq. being Next etc. Seq. played Seq. etc. ­ 21 1 2 This VCR uses a standard indexing system (VISS). As a result, it will recognize any indexes marked by other VCRs using the same system and vice versa. 1 To search for a specific index, press INDEX. 0 REW PLAY REC 3 DISPLAY STOP MONITOR F.F P/STILL 3 A.DUB 2 Enter the number of the index to be found using the numeric buttons. ­ When entering a single-digit number, do not forget to precede it with a zero. Example: 02. Result: The index number is displayed. 3 Select the direction in which the VCR is to search: x REW ( ) to search backwards ; or x F.F ( ) to search forwards.
