STATUS INDICATORS When the following indicators light up or blink on the operation panel or the following alphanumeric codes appear in the display, solve the problem immediately referring to both the table below and the relevant page. Be sure to use only genuine SHARP parts and supplies. Copier trouble? 6 40 Indication Cause and remedy See page: Steadily Replacement of drum cartridge will be needed 44 Drum replacement lit soon. Prepare a new cartridge. required indicator Blinking Drum cartridge must be replaced. Replace it with a new one. 29 TD cartridge replacement Steadily Replacement of TD cartridge will be needed 44 lit soon. Prepare a new cartridge. required indicator Blinking TD cartridge must be replaced. Replace it with a new one. 28 A misfeed has occurred. Remove the misfed 34 paper referring to the description of "Misfeed Misfeed indicator Blinking removal." In the AL-1250/AL-1521, the lower side cover - may be open. If so, close it. SPF misfeed indicator An original misfeed has occurred in the SPF. 38 Blinking Remove the misfed originals referring to the description of "Misfeed in the SPF". The paper tray indicator is The paper tray is not installed properly. - blinking. Push the tray into the copier securely. "CH" is blinking in the display. The TD cartridge is not installed. Check if the 28 cartridge is installed. "CH" is steadily lit in the display. Side cover is open. Close the side cover securely by pressing the round projections near the side cover open button. - Paper tray or bypass tray is empty. Load copy 13 paper. "P" is blinking in the display. A misfeed has occurred in the paper tray or 34 bypass tray. Remove the misfed paper. Paper tray is not securely installed. Push the - tray in securely. The copier will not function. Turn the power - A letter and a number appear switch off, remove the power cord from the alternately. outlet, and contact our Technical Assistance Department at 1-(630)378-3590.
