PLAY MODE MODE/INS :OFF s To eliminate the confirmation sound Every time a button is pressed, a "beep" will be heard in the headphones. To silence the "beep" sound, do the following: 1 While in the stop mode ... Hold down the PLAY MODE button or the MODE/INS button until "SET UP" appears. q When you release the button, "BEEP 1 (BEEP ON)" will appear. 2 Press the PLAY MODE button or the MODE/INS button. q "BEEP 0 (BEEP OFF)" will appear, and the confirmation sound will disappear. q To restore the confirmation sound, select "BEEP 1 (BEEP ON)". 3 Press the s/:OFF button. q The normal display will reappear. s To turn off the display backlight Whenever you press a button, the display will light for about 4 seconds, so that you can read it in the dark. You can turn off the backlight. 1 While in the stop mode ... To eliminate the confirmation
sound
Every time a button is pressed, a “beep”
will be heard in the headphones.
To silence the “beep” sound, do the follow-
ing:

While in the stop mode ...
Hold down the PLAY MODE button or
the MODE/INS button until “SET UP”
appears.

When you release the button, “BEEP
1 (BEEP ON)” will appear.

Press the PLAY MODE button or the
MODE/INS button.
●
“BEEP 0 (BEEP OFF)” will appear,
and the confirmation sound will dis-
appear.
●
To restore the confirmation sound,
select “BEEP 1 (BEEP ON)”.

The normal display will reappear.

backlight

can read it in the dark. You can turn off the
