Display Turning off the display - Power Saving Mode Even if the system is off, the system consumes power to display the clock and to stay responsive to commands from the remote. Power Saving mode reduces the amount of power consumed during standby. In this mode, the clock is not displayed. Press DISPLAY or TIME on the remote while the system is off until the the clock display disappears. To cancel Power Saving mode Press DISPLAY or TIME on the remote while the system is off. The display changes as follows: Clock display* y No display (Power Saving mode) * The clock is displayed only if you set the clock. Tip The timer continues to operate during Power Saving mode. Changing the illumination level You can change the illumination level for the front panel. Press DIMMER on the remote repeatedly. The illumination level changes cyclically as follows: High t Low t Off Tip The illumination level is factory set to high. Using the display Checking the remaining time Press TIME on the remote repeatedly during playback. The display changes cyclically as follows: Elapsed playing time on the current track t Remaining time on the current track*1 t Remaining time on the current CD*2 *1 "--.--" appears when you check the remaining time of a CD track whose number is 21 or over. *2 "--.--" appears during Shuffle Play of a CD which has 21 or more tracks, or during Program Play when a CD track whose number is 21 or over is selected. Checking the total playing time Press TIME on the remote in stop mode. Checking a track title, a disc title (CD) Press DISPLAY repeatedly. The CD display changes cyclically as follows: Clock display*1 t Preset Equalizer name*1 t Volume*1 t Playing time of the CD*2 t Track title or disc title*3 *1 After 8 seconds, the playing time of the CD appears. *2 The display that appears depends on the current disc status: If the disc is stopped: The total playing time of the CD is displayed. If the disc is playing: The elapsed playing time of the track, remaining playing time of the track, or remaining playing time of the CD is displayed. *3 The track title appears during playback (only for CDs with CD text), and the disc title appears when the disc is stopped. If a CD that has no title, the track title or disc title is skipped. 20GB
