Table of Contents Expanded Focus (HDR-CX700/ CX700V) You can magnify an image that appears at the center of the LCD screen by about 2.0 times to confirm the sharpness of the focus. Off Does not magnify images. On Magnify images. Display Setting You can set the duration of displaying the icons or indicators on the LCD screen. Auto Displays for about 3 seconds. The rec & zoom buttons on the LCD screen is displayed. On Always displays. The rec & zoom buttons on the LCD screen is not displayed. Enjoy Useful Functions Notes Even though the image has been magnified on the camcorder, the recorded image is not magnified. The image that is output to an external device is not magnified. Guide Frame Tips The icons or indicators are displayed in the following cases. When you turn on your camcorder. The LCD screen is touched (Except rec & zoom buttons on LCD screen). When you switch your camcorder to the movie recording, photo recording, or playback mode. You can display the frame and check that the subject is horizontal or vertical. The frame is not recorded. Off Does not display the guide frame. Zebra (HDR-CX700/CX700V) You can display a zebra pattern as a guide for adjusting brightness. The zebra pattern will not be recorded with the image. On Displays the guide frame. Off Does not display the zebra pattern. 70 Displays the zebra pattern over the part of an image that exceeds the brightness level of about 70 IRE. Tips Positioning the subject at the cross point of the guide frame makes a balanced composition. The outer frame of [Guide Frame] shows the display area of a TV which is not compatible with full pixel display. When recording with the viewfinder, the outer frame of [Guide Frame] is not displayed (HDR-CX700/CX700V). 100 Displays the zebra pattern over the part of an image that exceeds the brightness level of about 100 IRE. Note With a subject that exceeds a brightness level of 100 IRE, the image may become overexposed. US 85 Index
