Note [Flash Comp.] does not work when the shooting mode is set to the following modes: [Intelligent Auto] [Superior Auto] [Sweep Panorama] [Scene Selection] The higher flash effect may not be visible due to the limited amount of flash light available, if the subject is outside the maximum range of the flash. If the subject is very close, the lower flash effect may not be visible. [55] How to Use FEL Lock Using shooting functions Using the flash The flash level is automatically adjusted so that the subject gets the optimum exposure during normal flash shooting. You can also set the flash exposure in advance. FEL: Flash Exposure Level 1. MENU → (Custom Settings) → [Custom Key(Shoot.)] → desired button → Select [FEL Lock toggle] to register the function. 2. Center the subject on which FEL is to be locked, and adjust the focus. 3. Press the button to which [FEL Lock toggle] is registered, and set the flash amount. A pre-flash flashes. The (FEL lock) icon lights up. 4. Adjust the composition and shoot the image. When you want to release the FEL lock, press the button to which [FEL Lock toggle] is registered again. Flashes that support FEL lock HVL-F60M, HVL-F43M and HVL-F32M can be used as clip-ons, off-camera connected by a cable, and for wireless flash shooting (controller/remote).
