3 Press lightly on the screen with the stylus. This action is called "tapping." The digitizer calibration screen is displayed. The calibration screen aligns the internal circuitry of your CLIÉ handheld with its touch-sensitive screen that can detect the task you want to perform when you tap an item on the screen. b Press lightly on the screen (Tap) 4 Tap the center of the displayed target following the on- screen instruction. Also tap the center of the following displayed targets in the lower right corner and the center of the screen. Note If the digitizer is not configured correctly, the scroll bar may not operate properly, "tapping" may not work as expected, or other problems may occur. For re-configuring the digitizer, refer to "Customizing your Sony CLIÉ™ handheld: Adjusting the Digitizer" in "Handbook." After calibration is complete, a screen for setting the time and date is displayed. 18
