Turn off sound / Turn on sound Turn off sound Tap this button to turn the spoken instructions off. The button changes to Turn on sound. If you turn the sound off, warnings for upcoming POIs are also turned off. Can I still use my RIDER to make hands-free calls when the sound is turned off? Turning the sound off does not affect hands-free calling. You will still be able to hear the caller. Tip To change the volume, tap Volume preferences in the Preferences menu. For more information, see Volume preferences on page 51. To change the volume quickly while you are driving, tap the bottom left-hand section of the Driving View and move the slider. To change the voice, tap Change Voice in the Preferences menu. For more information, see Sound on page 39. Volume preferences Tap this button to change the volume of the spoken instructions. Volume preferences Manage Favorites Manage Favorites Tap this button to rename or delete Favorites. To find a Favorite quickly, tap Find, then start to type the name of the Favorite. As soon as the Favorite is shown in the list, you can select it. For more information about Favorites, see Favorites on page 35. Change Home location Change Home location Tap this button to set or change your Home location. Do I have to have my actual home as the Home location? Your Home location can be a place you go often, for example, your office. It doesn't have to be your actual home. Why should I set a Home location? Once you have set your Home location, you can navigate there quickly whenever you need to get there. In the Navigate to... menu, just tap Home.
