Adjusting the Handset Ringer, Earpiece and Speaker Volume Handset ringer volume Press the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as / vol/∧ or /vol/∨ in standby mode to select one of three ringer volume (off, low, or high). Earpiece and speaker volume Pressing the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as /vol/∧ or /vol/∨ key) during a call will change the earpiece volume of the handset. This setting will remain in effect after the telephone call has ended. When you press volume up key (ring/vol/∧) in the maximum volume level or volume down key (ring/vol/∨) in the lowest volume level, an error tone sounds. note Standby Mode - The handset is not in use and talk/flash has not been pressed. Ringer Mute You can temporarily mute the incoming ring. When the handset is off the cradle and the phone is ringing, press end.
