EDITING Erase This function lets you erase unwanted tracks quickly and easily. When you erase a track, the total number of tracks on the MD decreases by one and all the tracks following the erased one are renumbered. Caution for erasing Check carefully the portion to be erased, as you cannot undo an edit once any additional edit has been performed. 2 Press 4/¢ repeatedly so that "ERASE ?" appears in the display, then press SET or ENTER. Track number to be erased 3 Press ENTER. 4 Press ENTER. For example: Erasing track 3 12345 Original tracks A B C D E Tracks after erasing 12345 ABD E 1 Press EDIT during playback of the track you want to erase. To erase more than one track at once You can erase the several tracks at once. For example: Erasing tracks 2 and 4 12345 Original tracks A B C D E Tracks after erasing 1234 ACE 1 Press EDIT during stop. 2 Press 4/¢ repeatedly so that "Q. ERASE ?" appears in the display, then press SET or ENTER. 3 • To erase all the tracks of the MD, press SET, and skip the following steps 4 and 5 ("ALL" appears in the display). • To select the tracks you want to erase, skip this step. 4 Press 4/¢ repeatedly or turn the jog dial to select the track you want to erase, then press SET.
