Getting Started - Playing the Demo Songs The PSR-260 has a variety of Demo songs, specially recorded to showcase the dynamic sounds and rhythms and give you an idea of what you can do with the instrument. 1 First, turn on the power. Press the [STANDBY/ON] button. 2 Set the Volume. Initially, turn the [MASTER VOLUME] control about a third of the way up. You can adjust the control for optimum level once the songs start playing. 3 Press the [DEMO] button. All five songs will play back in sequence. You can play along on the key- board with the songs. The current song name and number appear at the left of the display. Notice also that the display indicates both the chords and the melody notes (in the music staves and the keyboard diagram) as they change during the song. To stop playback, press the [START/STOP] button. To use this, simultaneously hold down the [DEMO] button and turn the power on ([STANDBY/ON] button). While the power is on in this condition, pressing the [DEMO] button has no effect. To turn Demo Cancel off, simply turn the power off and back on again normally. While the Demo song is playing... Many features of the PSR-260 can be used while the Demo songs are playing. These include: • Tempo (page 31) • Song volume (page 32) • Tuning (page 27) • Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward (page 32) 18
